When I was was young my mother used to say “people are usually as happy as they decide to be” She would encourage us to put a period at the end of every day a period at the end of every unsatisfying experience. She believed in living each day as it came, take the good, accept the bad and move on to a new tomorrow.

When I was nine and again when I was twelve a very young Minister, Charlie Hess made sure that the tiny Caton Methodist Church paid my way to go to “Summer CamP”. This also impacted me in a major way and is one of the main reason’s that I have been an Ordained Baptist Minister for over 33 years.
